1. Purpose.  We use computer-adaptive academic readiness assessments to understand a learner’s current level and support appropriate placement.
2. What it’s like. The assessment is straightforward and student-friendly. It’s used to inform fit and planning - not necessarily to “test prep.”
3. What happens next. We review the results alongside records, your personal statement, and the family conversation to determine next steps.

A short written personal statement helps us understand motivation, learning habits, and overall fit for SSS. Prompts are provided in the enrollment portal and are age-appropriate. We’re not looking for perfection clear, honest, and thoughtful is best.

A brief learner-driven video helps us get to know the student beyond the written application - communication style, interests, and readiness. Prompts are provided in the enrollment portal and are intentionally simple. Keep it short, natural, and authentic; no special editing is needed.

A sample of recent STEM-related work helps us see how a learner thinks, builds, and explains ideas. This can be a project, photos of work, a short write-up, or a link to something the student created. We’re looking for genuine effort and curiosity - not polished perfection.
